Coordination Council

Effective implementation of government anti-corruption policy directly depends on several components: the coordinated action by the executive authorities, the active involvement of civil society and international organizations to solve problems in this field. Governmental Agent for anti-corruption policy works to ensure coordination of central executive bodies of Ukraine and cooperation with many international organizations, dealing with issues of combating corruption in various spheres. Along with this activity there is some level of coordinated approaches and thematic activities and use of donor assistance, which in turn leads to lower efficiency and duplication of work.

In 2009 the Governmental Agent for anti-corruption policy initiated the creation of the Coordination Council of international organizations, dealing with the prevention and combating of corruption.

It is expected that the creation of this Council is to coordinate and harmonize the activities of international anti-corruption organizations direction, if possible increase the effectiveness of foreign assistance during the implementation of government anti-corruption measures.

To participate in the activities of this Council were invited and agreed to participate 13 international organizations, namely: of the Council of Europe, European Commission, Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, NATO Liaison Office in Ukraine and others.
